Remote Conference Interpreting
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, interpreting has evolved from on-site work into a new form that meets requirements of safety, health and security. A remote interpreter does not need to undergo any COVID-19 testing. This approach reduces your trouble to a minimum.
Smooth Interpreters was the first company in Singapore to offer remote interpreting. The service can be delivered through a telephone conference or a video conferencing application. Compared with traditional on-site interpreting, remote interpreting saves cost: you do not need to rent an interpreting booth, which can cost several thousand Singapore dollars per day.
With our remote interpreting service, you are freed from the complicated preparations of conference interpreting. All you need is a telephone or an internet-based video and audio communication system — one that many social media applications now support. The interpreter does not even need to attend the meeting in person, which also saves you the interpreter’s travel and accommodation costs.
Remote conference interpreting can be provided in either consecutive or simultaneous mode, to suit the needs of your assignment.
Our rate is S$50 per 15 minutes. If our interpreters are engaged, an interpreter may not be available from us at any given moment. However, if you book at least 2 hours in advance, an interpreter will be assigned to you in good time. Please note that service fees are not refundable if you cancel within 24 hours.
